Guess what?! Today, we’re going to Disney World!!! OK, no we’re not. But we are going to indulge in this completely adorable Disney themed wedding from Henry + Masci Photography!
Paul and Jaclyn were introduced by mutual friends while attending UMASS Lowell. (Which is practically in my backyard.) Nothing happened between them right away though. In fact, they were friends for several years before something between them just clicked. (Love works in mysterious ways sometimes.) They had their first date in April of 2006. They haven’t looked back since.
It’s hard to pinpoint when exactly they realized they were in love. Their feelings for each other came on so strong that it wasn’t long before the three little words were said. Although Jaclyn didn’t respond with the three little words. She responded with two. “I’m there.” It became their signature way of saying I love you for the longest time. And while they still use it today, they use I love you just as often. (I’m kind of pretty much melting over here.) From that first “I’m there,” Jaclyn knew she would spend the rest of her life with Paul. (Melting all over again.)
As time went by, Paul carefully planned out his proposal. He was all set to have Jaclyn meet him for lunch at work one day to pop the question. But she showed up on the wrong day! Improvising quickly, Paul took her to lunch at the Black Cow in Newburyport. (Another city I knew well. I love local love stories!)
Once at the restaurant, Paul tried to distract Jaclyn with a stuffed Wally the Green Monster to work the ring box out of his pocket. But Jaclyn quickly caught on to what he was doing. She snatched the box right out of his hand and had the ring on her finger before he could even get the words out! (Haha! Way to take matters into your own hands, eh, Jaclyn?)
{From the Bride} We both share a love for anything Disney, so our Disney themed wedding was positively perfect for us. The reception had splashes of Disney throughout. Paul even had Mickey Mouse cufflinks! My favorite moment was when we were officially announced as husband and wife! We had an absolute blast at our reception. And although the day went by pretty quickly, it was enjoyed by everyone who attended. I would love to do it all over again!”
How adorable are those table numbers? Mickey and Minnie, Mr. Incredible, Pinocchio, and Tigger too! Such a cute idea! Just like the cake topper and his snazzy cufflinks! And how about those tuxedo styled chocolate covered strawberries? Yum!
{From the Bride} The best advice I could give a couple who is in the middle of planning their wedding is to savor every moment. The whole process goes by so quickly. Before you know it, the day has come and gone, and you are left wanting to do it all over again! As far as advice for a married couple, take the time to really listen to one another. I believe that one of the keys to a great marriage is communication. In addition to this, make sure to live life with some spontaneity. Although it’s great to plan things out, it’s equally important to have adventures together!
I think I’ll take that advice, Jaclyn! Thank you so much for sharing your love story and bridal words of wisdom with us today! We wish you and Paul so much love, laughter and spontaneity in the years to come! And a special thank you to the always fabulous Katherine (who I had the pleasure of meeting just a few weeks ago!) of Henry + Masci Photography!

What a fun wedding – I will be showing this to my daughter for sure. She’s only 4 1/2, but loves Disney and even weddings already, thinking my career has an influence in that :) LOVE those table numbers.
Thanks, Brenda! I hope she squealed in delight like I did! ;)
It’s Disney but not too childish, which is great.
