It’s hard to believe that we are starting the month of August! It is at this time of year that we start to realize that summer is rapidly coming to an end and there is just a hint of fall in the air. We created this inspiration board to celebrate those hot summer nights, summer love and outdoor weddings. The whimsy and organic touches remind me also of the times that we went to see Shakespearean plays in an outdoor theatre in the Berkshires. Has anybody ever seen “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”? It is probably my all-time favorite play by Shakespeare especially when performed in an outdoor setting that incorporates the surrounding woods. Fabulous!

The colors while neutral are a great back drop to add many other eye popping hues. Like Mother Nature herself, green goes with everything, so no worries about adding pink, orange, blue or red! I love the warm, yummy colors we’ve chosen here though: the apple green, coal, dove gray, and rust. It’s a beautiful combination.

I love this quote from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”:

I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,

Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,

Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,

With sweet musk-roses and eglantine.

So Oberon described Titania’s bower, where she sleeps

When looking at this inspiration board, it makes me feel calm and peaceful. I just want to grab my best friend and take a walk in the woods and appreciate all that nature has to offer.
