Happy Friday! You know I simply cannot resist sweet smiles and picnics! Lucky for me (and for you) this adorable engagement session from Love Captured Simply has both! Take a look!
Jenn and Brian met online through a Facebook group where they discovered within a very short amount of time that they had a ton in common. They met up for drinks not long after their first “meeting” and learned that they lived rather close to each other. Like in the same apartment community close by. Like right-across-the-way-I-can-see-you-from-my-front-window-and-you-can-see-me kind of close by. (What a small world in which we live, huh?)
Driving home after drinks that night, Jenn called to tell her mom all about the great guy she’d just met. She said, “Mom, this guy… I love him.” Her mom thought she was a little loopy, but Jenn knew that he was going to be someone special. Brian says of their first meeting that the Monkeys song said it best… “Then I saw her face, now I’m a believer, without a trace of doubt in my mind, I’m in love, I’m a believer…” (Tell me you read that to the exact beat of the song like I did!)
Jenn and Brian clicked so well, that it wasn’t long before Brian was popping the question…
About a week before Christmas, Jenn noticed a tiny box under the Christmas tree and just KNEW it had to be a ring. She kept asking and asking Brian if she could open it. Finally, he told her she could if she played an entire round of Tiger Woods Golf with him. Jenn agreed, and later said it was the longest game of her life.
As soon as it was over, she ran over to the tree and picked up the box, which was surprisingly very light. She turned to question Brian to find him on bended knee with the ring in his hand and a smile on his face. He knew her only too well… :)
{Behind the Lens with Rupa Kapoor} I was truly excited and bursting with ideas on what we could do during Jenn and Brian’s engagement session – especially after Jenn told me she wanted to incorporate a soft setting into the session, but also liked the idea of adding an urban touch. With that said, I decided that the Carter Center, located in the heart of Atlanta, would be perfect for that “soft setting.” For the urban vibe, we hung out in Inman Park, a cool little spot in Atlanta where there are some great pubs and restaurants.
The giggles and laughs and cuddles started from the second I met them. I always ask my couples how they feel about PDA, and I kid you not, the guys are ALWAYS for it! Brian was no different – cuddling, hugging and kissing on Jenn – gotta love it! The entire session, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her – how wonderful! These two made me love what I do so much more on that day, and being able to capture their love and passion for one another was the icing on the cake!
One of my favorite things about this couple comes from a little snippet Rupa included from their engagement questionnaire with her. It simply asked Jenn to complete the following sentence: “I just love…” She completed it with: “…the way I fit perfectly under your arm when we walk down the street.” I think every woman in the world knows that nook, that fit, that feeling. Sigh. It’s wonderful, isn’t it?
Congratulations, Jenn and Brian, who tied the knot last May! We couldn’t be happier for you both and wish you so much love as you move forward in your lives together! Thank you, also, Rupa for sharing their love with us today!
xoxo
