I have such a pretty engagement session to share with you today. I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I first saw that he wore a peach colored button up shirt and she a pinky-purple-fuchsia-like maxi dress. Two colors that I wouldn’t normally have paired together, go together oh-so-well. In fact, I love them so much, I think I’ll do an inspiration board based on them :) It’ll be colorful and stylish just like these two lovebirds, captured beautifully by Britt Croft Photography!

Jessi and Kyle were each others’s first love. They met in middle school. She liked him because he was tall and his voice had dropped. They shared their first kiss while waiting for the bus one day. They were 12 :)

Jessi broke up with Kyle the summer before eighth grade because they would be attending different schools in the years to come. They stayed friends though and reconnected in December of 2009 when Kyle kissed her at a party. He had gotten much better at it since middle school ;) They later got snowed in together in 2010 and fell back in love over those couple of days. She said I love you first. He said he never stopped :)

Oh, hello, gorgeous engagement ring! I think I heart you.

They were picnicking one day in Jefferson Patterson Park. After lunch, Kyle got down on one knee and presented Jessi with a beautiful engagement ring. He asked her to be his wife and she said yes!

If ever I was a redhead, I would want Jessi’s shade. Amazing!

{Behind the Lens with Britt Croft} Jessi and Kyle are such a fun and relaxed couple that I knew shooting at Jefferson Patterson Park would suit them perfectly. The variety in backdrops is complimentary to the many different interests they have as a couple, and I love that Jefferson Patterson is where Kyle popped the question! Usually it takes a little warming up for my couples at the beginning of a session, but the way Kyle can make Jessi laugh…oh, there was no need for “warming up.” It’s so obvious how they fit so seamlessly together, which made my job of portraying their love for one another through the lens very easy, and a LOT of fun! I am really looking forward to their wedding day this September, because I know these two and their friends and family will be such a joy to spend the day with.

Congratulations, Jessi and Kyle! We wish you both so much love and luck on your wedding day and in the many days after that you’ll share as husband and wife!
