There is something just so romantic about this week’s rustic wedding inspiration board. Last week we shared that rustic is a style, not a trend or fad. It can be romantic like today’s inspiration, or glam, shabby chic and a few others that we’ll be bringing to you this month. But something else that will make a wedding rustic at heart is textures and that feeling of handmade, homemade.

Colors: Warm Brown, Bright Yellow, Soft Gray, Pale Yellow
Often when I’m thinking of a rustic wedding, I am reminded of simpler times. Family, DIY details and homemade goodies all come to mind. So we started with a beautiful bridal bouquet of billy buttons, dusty miller, large yellow roses and even goldenrod. Many of these blooms can be easily found in your own garden, provided you have a green thumb :) Homemade pies add the perfect sweetness for a rustic wedding. I just love the birch Mr. & Mrs. “pie” toppers! The bride and her maids wore romantic wedding attire in varying shades of gray. Casual wedding programs are accented with twine, and our barn makes for a dreamy backdrop for a rustic wedding. And whether glamorous, romantic, shabby chic, or campground, no rustic wedding would be complete without some mason jars added to the detail. One of my favorite uses for mason jars is definitely candles!
