I really do love pink, and yes, especially for weddings. There is something utterly romantic when a couple (think bride) chooses pink for their wedding. Whether it is the blush of a beautiful bride, roses, or a groom’s bow tie, blush pink is definitely our choice of color for our wedding inspiration board today!

Colors: Soft Sage, Blush, Soft Pink, Whisper Gray

We love the soft blush of the bride’s lips captured so beautifully by Elizabeth Messina under a simple veil. So innocent and pure. The whimsical wedding invitations will begin to set the tone for a romantic wedding and can you say ahhhh-mazing to this ring!? Positioned on powdered sugar doughnuts no less. Cute! What about this gorgeous chair decor? I have fallen head over heels for these chairs. Simply stunning! The shabby chic rose would make the perfect accent whether as part of the ceremony or reception decor. So delicate and pretty! And I adore a man in pink, just saying ;) Pink gingham bow tie and pink sweetheart roses for a boutonniere. Love!

Think pink! For your wedding that is. Go ahead, your groom will get over it. :)

Shabby chic is one of those styles that, once it was introduced back in the 80’s, never went away. Embraced by wedding stylists and brides alike, it combines a little vintage, a little handmade and a whole lot of sweetness that makes it distinctly a style all its own and immediately identified. Our wedding inspiration board today combines all of the styles for a distinct shabby chicness so pretty in peach.

Colors: Rosy Peach, Peach, Soft Blue, Rustic Grey

I love all the textures, soft and fuzzy, in this gorgeous, yet simple, bouquet captured by one of our favorite wedding photographers (and premier partners in our Vendor Boutique), With Love and Embers. The rosy glow of this amazing engagement ring is really perfect and reflects the whole peachy-ness of our inspiration board. The softness of peach and blue are a sweet color combo for the wedding invitations and those fabulous tassels as decor are pretty rad too. The peach suede Gucci shoes really compliment the little bit of vintage for our shabby chic bride. Can you just see them with the bouquet and dress above? Yes! And the little banner on the wedding cake is cuteness overload, right? Right!

It’s been awhile since I’ve featured the color blue in a wedding inspiration board, so I thought I would take the opportunity to do that today. Especially since blue wedding ideas is an all-time favorite post for us (and all of you) here at Heart Love Weddings.

Colors: Sage, Dove Blue, Deep Turquoise, Moss

To me, blue is a fabulous, neutral color. Why? I think it goes back to the thought process that we are surrounded by blue sky and green grass in nature, and when you add other pops of color like flowers and trees, it all just works together. You can’t argue with Mother Nature, right? And when I’m talking nature, I automatically think of rustic style weddings. It’s natural. In keeping with our theme, the bride we chose for our inspiration has beautiful real flowers tucked into her braid. So pretty! A fun rustic detail for escort cards are horseshoes that can be easily found at antique shops and fairs. They tie in real well with our cowgirl boots for the bride :) Those Anthropologie mugs are one of my favorite details used in weddings ever!! You can use the couple’s initials or spell out the word LOVE.  Rustic wedding invitations will help to set the vibe for your guests, and these are just so adorable with a little mason jar too! And how cool would it be to include an old truck (maybe a family heirloom even?) in your wedding decor. I’ve seen this more and more whether as a menu detail, drink station, dessert bar, or getaway car.

Downton Abbey, oh, how we love you! We only recently caught up on all the seasons of this delightfully addicting show. Given there was a wedding in one of the episodes, you know that eventually we would have to create a wedding inspiration board based on one of our most favorite series of all time.

Colors: Marigold, Baby Blue, Her Majesty’s Blue, Earl Grey

A beautiful 1920’s vintage wedding dress is a must for this Downton Abbey inspiration including lace and pearls. Vintage keys are perfect as wedding decor and can be used as sweet escort cards, a popular detail for vintage weddings today. Handmade soaps would make a lovely wedding favor and smell so sweet especially in rosewater or lavender. Pearls galore as a fashion accessory was a must in the 1920’s! Isn’t this necklace absolutely gorgeous? Vintage silverware tied with lace and charming plates will add extra panache for your Downton Abbey inspired wedding. And oh my gosh, is this ring box with handmade stitching just breathtaking? Yes, yes, it is.

Have you caught the Downton Abbey bug? If you have, can we just discuss the untimely exits of Lady Sybil and Matthew? I get all choked up just thinking about it…sniff, sniff…sigh. (Sob, that too.)

Oh, be still my heart! Purple and mint are absolutely breathtaking in our wedding inspiration board today! Move over emerald (Pantone color of the year), mint is our color of the year!

Colors: Minty Fresh, Bright Amethyst, Hyacinth, Celery

Let’s start with that absolutely gorgeous wedding bouquet that the bride is carrying. What a glorious combination of purples including one of my favorite springtime blooms, lilacs! Can you smell them yet? :) I love vintage bottles, and these purple and mint ones are pure perfection. So pretty. Cupcakes are truly one of my favorite desserts. Aren’t they everybody’s??! These purple and mint cupcakes couldn’t look yummier! The silver and purple mercury tumblr vases are my favorite part of this board though. And the little flower girl is so completely adorable in purple tulle! You just want to squeeze her, hug her, squish those cute cheeks, and have her walk down the aisle with you!! A super simple but oh-so-pretty floral centerpiece filled with purple carnations (another favorite of mine) and baby’s breath completes our look today.

Ta-da! Purple and mint, I love you so!

I know we’ve barely started experiencing some (well, actually very little) spring weather, but I’m already dreaming of much warmer weather, like summer! And our wedding inspiration board today sets the perfect summer vibe with a Martha’s Vineyard vibe. Navy is one of those really great blue wedding colors that work so well in preppy, New England, summer weddings. Complemented with warm creams and chocolate browns, it creates a wedding theme that everyone can relate to.

Colors: Honey Glaze, Thistle, Bluebelle, Bittersweet

Let’s start with a dashing groom in one of my favorite groomsmen accessories, suspenders – casual, yet dressed for the occasion! Summer weddings are a great time to keep things really casual. Striped napkins with straw chargers under plates is the perfect way to dress a table. I’m sure the ring bearer will be so adorable in a checkered blue shirt carrying this equally adorable ring box. Remember I mentioned Martha’s Vineyard? What a great place for a destination wedding!! This guest treat bag would make the perfect welcome gift for travelers near and far. Thistles and lavender grow in great abundance here in New England adding wonderful texture and making a unique cake topper for this beautiful cake. Lastly, who wouldn’t want to grab a honey glazed donut as a late night favor on the the way home? This girl would!! ;)
